Donald Gould Executive Director Donald Gould has spent his entire adult life in education, both as a teacher and as an administrator. After receiving degrees from Cornell and Harvard Universities, he began teaching history in Massachusetts public schools and then in Rome. In 1968, he began at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School in Sudbury, Massachusetts, where he worked for the next 34 years, both as a teacher and a housemaster. After retiring in 2001, Don founded the Karelian Scholarship Fund in August 2002.
   
Gordon Brostrom
KSF Treasurer
In 2009, Gordon Brostrom retired after a long and distinguished career in banking. He retired as Sun Trust of Virginia in 2009, and previously worked in the Global Services Cash management Division of Fleet Bank of Boston, Massachusetts, and in the Bankers Trust Company of New York City. He has a BA in economics from Cornell University and an MBA in corporate finance from the NYU Graduate School of Business. He currently resides in Virginia.
   
Dorothy Gould

Dorothy Gould is currently the principal of Cumberland High School in Cumberland, RI. Before retiring from Massachusetts in 2007, she was the principal of Newburyport High School, Newburyport, MA, Hopkinton High School, Hopkinton, MA, and Merrimack High School in Merrimack, NH. Before her administrative career, she spent twenty-five years teaching science and mathematics at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional high School in Sudbury, MA. Dee received her BS from the University of Massachusetts, and an EDM from Simmons College.
   
Steve LaPierre

Since 1999, Steve LaPierre has been director of education and advisory services for the Center for Quality Management, a non-profit organization that studies and implements cutting-edge management practices. Previously, he had 30 years of experience in a number of different business units of W.R. Grace. Steve's specific areas of expertise include process engineering, manufacturing management, quality assurance, marketing, new product development, continuous improvement, and general management.
   
Ellen Harder

Ellen Harder has practiced law in Massachusetts since 1986. Before going into law, she was a high school teacher from 1970 to 1984. She has lectured for Massachusettts Continuing Legal Education and was a volunteer teacher with the Jewish Literacy Project. She received a B.A. from the University of New Hampshire, an M.Ed. from Boston College, and her J.D. from Northeastern University.
   
Charlie Hosford
KSF Board
Charlie Hosford received his BA from Amherst College, and his MA in architecture from Yale University. After a long career designing and building homes, Charlie co-founded Project Harmony in 1985. Project Harmony promoted international exchanges for many years, and has since moved into programs which deal with education about drug and alcohol abuse in Russia, and which also promote computer literacy. Charlie retired from his directorship of project harmony in 2005, and lives in Vermont.
